After successfully fabricating CO2-switchable wormlike mcielles with short-chain polyamine or long-chain polyamine, ZHANG Yongmin developed a "symmetry" CO2-switchable wormlike micelles with a C22-tailed tertiary amine. Upon bubbling CO2 into the amine aqueous solution under ambient temperature and pressure, its viscosity increases rapidly more than 10,000 times, and recover to its Newtonian-fluid state when delepting CO2 with air under the iderntical pressure and temperature. This new strategy overcomes the "heating" process for removing CO2 in the previous similar systems.
