Abstract：Owing to the excellent electrical conductivity and unique chemical structures, conducting polymer polyaniline (PANI) has been widely utilized in many application fields. In this review, the state-of-art current research status on the recent developed new functions of PANI in the applications including environmental remediation, giant magnetoresistance (GMR) sensors, coupling agents, metamaterials, and energy storage devices have been critically reviewed. This knowledge will further broaden the application scope of PANI and provide the basis for the researchers to seek the new application of PANI in the future.
