Highly transparent flexible tricomponent hybrid film, agarose-[P5W30O110](15-)-fluorescein (AG-P5W30-FL), was successfully prepared by a facile hydrogel casting technique. Due to the incorporation of P5W30 this film displays enhanced sensitivity and reversibility of color and emission switchingfor HCl and NH3 gases.
