and shape can be controlled by the molar ratio of metal ions to the dendrons,
the metal ion concentration and the surface-groups of the dendrons. The
possible formation process of the Pd particles is discussed.

Instead of the usual surfactants, palladium (Pd) nanoparticles have beenprepared in the presence of the dendrons G1-CH3 and 12G1-CH3, and
investigated by TEM and absorption. It is found that the Pd particles’ size
