Several types of solid lubricating films, containing epoxy solution surface coating and polymer powder surface coating such as polyester, epoxy and polyester/epoxy, filled with graphite and MoS2 and so on, were tested on a M-2000 wear test machine to examine their friction and wear characteristics of sliding/rolling. Through SEM analysis on wear scar of solid film, the friction and wear mechanisms under sliding/rolling were discussed.
