On November 4th, 2010, invited by professor Yang Guang, Professor Fang Yapeng, an adjunct associate professor in Phillips Hydrocolloid Research Center of Greenway University, and the director of Phillips Hydrocolloid Institute of Hubei University, visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and gave a report entitled 《Ca-binding and Gelation Behavior of Alginate and Pectin》.
His report introduced two biological polysaccharides material Alginate and Pectin as well as their calcium-binding behavior and gel behavior. Professor Fang combined his own research results recent years, talked about structure and properties of these two biological polysaccharides, and students and teachers had great interested in it.
