Invited by Prof. Yang, Dr. Li Wei from Massachu-setts Institute of Technology visited the College of Life
Science and Technology of HUST, and presented an excellent speech entitled “Surface
engineering of polymer materials and microdevices for biological applications”
Dr. Li Wei obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s
degree in Wuhan University during 1999-2002. After that, he received the Master’s
and Doctorial degree from Toronto
University, Canada. He started his post-doctoral research in MIT with supervisor
Prof. Paula Hammond who is the deputy editor of ACS Nano and holds the researching interest in multilayer
self-assembly interface on cell capture and release.
Dr. Li Wei his published many papers on Science, J.Am.Chem.Soc., Macromolecules, Lab
Chip, Nanotechnology etc. And was invited to write review articles on Lab on a Chip, RSC Advances, Chemical
Communications, Polymers, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Polymer
Science B etc.
Dr. Li Wei mainly focus his interest in cell
microenvironment and soft material, biological functional polymer materials
surface of cells
capture and release, biological application of high flux layer upon layer
system, biomedical
micro devices and so on.
