Zwitterionic microcapsules based on sulfobetaine with tunable structures were synthesized via precipitation polymerization. The incorporation of zwitterionic microcapsules into Nafion matrix rendered the composite membranes significantly enhanced water retention and proton conduction properties under low humidity.
