(Small) Large-scale fabrication of bioinspired fibers for directional water collection

we show that a fl uid-coating method can be applied to continuously fabricate periodic spindle-knots on nylon fi bers on a large scale. More importantly, such bioinspired fi bers have the ability of directional water collection when placed in fog.
