In the molecule of the title compound, C(15)H(12)N(2)O(2), the aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 28.11 (3)degrees. Intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonding results in the formation of a planar six-membered ring, which is nearly coplanar with the adjacent ring at a dihedral angle of 1.53 (3)degrees. In the crystal structure, pi-pi contacts between the benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.841 (1) angstrom] may stabilize the structure.
