Shi-Wen Huang was born in Hubei, P R China, in 1968. He received his B.Sc. Degree (1989) in Organic Chemistry from Nanjing University, and obtained his M. Sc. degree (1992) in Organometallic Chemistry and Ph. D. (2002) in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Wuhan University. He worked in Johns Hopkins Singapore Biomedical Center under the direction of Prof Kam W Leong and Prof H Q Mao of Johns Hopkins University from 2000 to 2002. He is currently a full Professor at Key Laboratory of Biomedical Polymers and College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Wuhan University. His current research interests include polymeric drug carriers and gene delivery vectors, biodegradable layer-by-layer assembly films for biomedical application.
