Research Interests

Synergistic regulation of structure–interface/network–processing in functional polymer materials.

Research Focus

Following the core framework of “structural construction–interfacial regulation–network formation–processing realization,” the research encompasses:

Porous Materials Construction and Structure–Property Relationships

Research on controllable pore construction, structural parameter characterization, and performance-response mechanisms. Micro/nano-to-macroscale porous architectures are fabricated via templating, freeze-drying, supercritical CO? foaming, and chemical foaming. Key parameters—pore size distribution, porosity, open/closed-cell ratio, connectivity, and pore-wall orientation—are precisely controlled. The effects of pore structures on lightweighting and mechanical, heat/mass transfer, and dielectric properties are systematically elucidated, with reproducibility and stability validated across representative material systems and processing conditions.

Interfacial and Network Regulation in Functional Nanocomposites

Research centered on filler system design, interfacial compatibility control, network construction, and synergistic performance mechanisms. Parallel efforts advance novel nanofiller development and modification/functionalization of conventional fillers, addressing dispersion stability and interfacial coupling. Tunable functional networks for thermal/electrical conduction, dielectric response, EMI shielding, and triboelectric performance are constructed. The roles of interfaces and network architectures in mechanical and multifunctional responses are clarified, identifying key control factors and pathways for synergistic property enhancement.

Processing Modification and Engineering Preparation Methods

Research on processing route selection, parameter coupling, structure evolution characterization, and performance consistency evaluation. Using blending, reactive extrusion, and forming processes, relationships between formulations/processing parameters and microstructures (orientation, crystallization, phase morphology, and network architecture) are established, defining critical processing windows and stability boundaries. Process scale-up and performance validation are conducted at component levels, yielding reproducible preparation workflows and evaluation methods.
