Chen Li, born in 1981, received his MS degree in Materials Science in 2006 and his PhD in Polymer Chemistry & Physics in 2009 from Sichuan University. He was elected as full professor in 2016. His research interests include the functional liquid crystalline polymer and non-halogen flame-retardant polymers. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and 30 Chinese patents.
