Prof. Lili Wang is currently a senior researcher and leader of the polymer photonic crystal fiber group of the XIOPM. Before taking up the position at the XIOPM, She worked as a invited foreign researcher in organic optical devices at the Telecommunication Advanced Organization of Japan. Wang obtained her master degree and Doctor degree at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT) respectively in 1990 and 1993. And then, she took up a post-doctoral fellowship in the University of Amoy and a associate professor in XIAN Jiaotong University.
From 1987 to 1993, she mainly engaged in enzymatic synthesis of conducting polymer films, and preparation and application of biosensors in TIT and got two awards and two prizes from Japanese government for thess findings.
From 1993 to 1997, she brought forward interface synthesis of nano-particles of conducting polymers in University of Amoy and XIAN Jiaotong University, and got two awards from Chinese government for this finding.
From 1998 to 2002, she did research in modification and optical application of salmon DNA at the Telecommunication Advanced Organization of Japan, and got two awards from this organization for fabrication of DNA film and fiber.
In the summer of last year, she prepared MPOF preform and fiber materials for THz transmision by using cyclic olefin copolymer( COC),and cyclic olefin polymer COP materials,. Then, national nature fundation give her financial support and formally initiate developing the plan on mass production technique of MPOF for applications in THz waveguide system.
