Dr. Meng is a full professor in Tiangong University. In 2000, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry from Shandong University. In 2005, he received his Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from Peking University. From 2005 to 2008, he worked in the global R & D center of General Electric (GE) Company, engaged in the research of desalination reverse osmosis membrane. Since 2008, he has worked in Tiangong University, successively as lecturer and associate professor. In 2014, he was promoted as a full professor. Jianqiang Meng teaches undergraduate students [Polymer chemistry] and [introduction to materials]. He has presided 4 projects of NSFC and a number of industrial projects. He has also participated in 1 key project of the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 major project and 2 preliminary research project of China MOST. In 2014, he was selected as the first batch of young outstanding talents in science and technology in Tianjin (innovation talent promotion plan of Tianjin Science and Technology Committee); in 2015, he was selected as the first batch of top young talents in Tianjin (talent special support plan of Organization Department of Tianjin Municipal Committee); Since 2017, he has served as the member of youth working committee of China Textile Engineering Society and the youth Expert Committee of China Ocean Society; in 2018, he has served as the executive chairman of Young Scientists Forum of China Association for science and technology.
