Xinghong Zhang, professor of Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou. The research of the Zhang Group focus on 1) Chemical fixation of CO2 to polymer and its catalysis; 2) High-performance thermosettings and nano composites; 3) Polymer Mechanochemistry.
In recent years, he was in charge of five projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project of Chinese Postdoctoral Natural Science Foundation; one project of Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and one social welfare technology project of Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Department; bearing four domestic and foreign researches commissioned by Hong Kong Kingboard Chemical Holdings Ltd. and BASF. More than 70 papers were pubished in the journals, such as Nature communications，Accounts of Chemical Research，Angew. Chem.，Chemical Science, Macromolecules, Polymer Chemistry, Macromolecular Rapid Communications，J. Polym. Sci. Part A: Polym. Chem., Polymer and so on. Besides, 20 Chinese invention patents and 2 U.S. patent were authorized .
