Jiawei Zhang received her PhD degree of polymer chemistry and physics from Nankai University in China in 2010, during which she had research training in University of Montreal (2007-2009, Canada). After postdoctoral training at Tsinghua University, China, she worked in Ningbo Institute of Material Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2013 to 2021, then she joined Tiangong University as a full professor in 2022. Her research is focused on the design and functions of shape-morphing hydrogels which is composed of shape memory hydrogels and hydrogel actuators.
